Secure field walks

If your dog's recall is a bit hit-and-miss, has a stubborn streak, or is just kept on a lead, book a space in our secure-field sessions. Every dog will be able to run free & fire up all their muscles. We also get them using their noses by following scent trails or sniffing out treats in long grass

Group walks

We'll group your dog together with a couple of other dogs that suit their vibe & take them out together. We use public footpaths and bridleways, country parks, and more to keep things varied. Before letting your dog off lead, we'll assess and practice their recall with us

Solo walks

By 'solo', we mean 'solo household'. We take just your dog(s) for 30mins or 1hr and give them all of our attention, walking, training, playing games. This can be a regular arrangement or a one-off, just let us know. Three dogs or more is subjected to a £5 supplement per dog

Drop-in visits

To break up your pet's day or give your cats a feed, we can drop in while you're out. We'll make sure they've had a toilet, some fuss, and maybe a snack. We'll also water your plants and bring in any parcels or even go old-school by opening & closing your curtains

Day sits

Exactly as the name suggests: one of us will come and sit at yours for the day. Let us know the times and we'll give you a price. Note - we will still have to pop out for other walks. If your dog is high energy, we can take them with us on our group walks

Wedding chaperone

Gettin' hitched? We'll look after your dog for the day (or even stay at yours for the night) and bring your pets along to the bits of your wedding you want them to attend. Just the pics? The whole ceremony? The reception? Each package is tailored to you

Bernie's Besties is based in Wickford, Essex.  If you see a black spaniel in an ex-postie Vauxhall Combo, that's probably us.


Our full range of services - dog walking, pet sitting, drop-ins - are all available to those in Wickford, Billericay, Basildon, South Woodham Ferrers, and Rayleigh.


We do service Benfleet, Canvey Island and the outskirts of Chelmsford, but only for 1 hour services (both walks and drop-ins) or group walks. 


Our Wedding Chaperone package is available to owners in all of the areas listed below.

Wickford - including Shotgate, Runwell, Crays Hill, The Hanningfields, and Noak Bridge.

Basildon - including Laindon, Pitsea, and Vange.

Billericay - including Ramsden Heath, Little Burstead, Great Burstead, South Green, Ramsden Bellhouse, and Stock.

Rayleigh - full range of services available. We can only accept 1 hour bookings minimum for Hockley and Hullbridge.

South Woodham Ferrers - including North Fambridge, Bicknacre, Danbury, Howe Green

Benfleet and Canvey Island - only 1 hour walks or group walks available in these areas.
